Can a toxic fandom make you stop stanning a group?

at least for me it did- that fandom being BLINKs

I was barely getting into BP and it was b4 born pink and thrown together with very BAD insults (kys included) and waiting for their comeback, I unstanned but i'd say I'm a casual BP listener now

stanning a group =/= interacting with the fandom

if it were then I would never stan SKZ jfc stays are insufferable on twt

I unstanned a group because of their music that was no longer my cup of tea but it's also true that I was done with a part of the fandom. It can be off-putting when you fall on toxic stans to get into a group but you can also choose to not interact with them.

It did in the past, but right now no. There are toic fans in all fandoms, so I just do my best to avoid them.

What can make me unstan a group is if I no longer like their music or if they do something really bad that I can't accept.
