Do you think it is normal for western award shows to make separate categories for kpop artists ?

Can XG be nominated? Could a hypothetical all Filipino K-pop group that has the trappings, the sounds and the promotional style of K-pop be considered? Why is it fair to only ringfence one nation if they are going for awards on international stage?

Is it fairer to have a more catch-all "International Artist" (like the Oscars do for film). Can kpop stand then against the LatAm giants? Or maybe an "Asian Artist" award that would also encompass Jpop, Cpop and other Asian nations?

Asian artist makes more sense but kpop is more known name itself and attracts people I think that's why
