Although it may have spread from Wuhan in 2019, the virus could have originally been made in another country but shared between labs until it leaked in China. These labs always make viruses for research purposes.

I stick to being non-religious (despite my family being christian). But I think that the reason people believe that coronavirus was sent by god, was so that it follows their belief that god is a powerful figure.
