Can you actually believe that Madein (Yeseo & Mashiro’s new group) had more first-day sales than Kep1er new cb?

  • Medein Debut (Rise): 34,032

    Kep1er (Tipi Tap): 17,055

I really hope Kep1er’s situation is just a shipping delay. It’s honestly so sad how Wakeone didn’t really promote them well, and their popularity dropped with each comeback. They're talented and Xiaoting potential is really wasted in this group. Even her fanbase size and popularity in China shrink a lot now compared to when they just debuted. I’m glad seven of them are still together and Kep1er is still here, but it’s telling that each of their own company don’t seem to believe they’ll succeed post-Kepler. We all know things would be different with ZB1. The boys' company will definitely want them back asap for how strong their sales and individual popularity are.

Wakeone really messed up with Kep1er. They went from being one of the population 4th gen gg (even with wadada getting mixed reviews, it was still a hit) to barely getting noticed or talked about. I don't think many even aware with their cb today. I hope their new company can give them the justice that they deserve since the beginning.

Changed the title of the thread from “Can you actually believe that Madein (Yeseo & Mashiro’s new group) had more first-day sales than Kep1er?” to “Can you actually believe that Madein (Yeseo & Mashiro’s new group) had more first-day sales than Kep1er new cb?”.
  • IZ*one power.

Isn't Kep1er's primary demographic in Japan? Korean sales are probably not too important since they would've disbanded already if they were hot in Korea.

It's unfair to compare them with Izone. The situations with the two groups are totally different, from management to how popular their survival shows were and even their group identities. Both really aren’t even comparable at all.

Anyway, Mashiro was the most popular member in Japan, and now she’s gone. Their Korean sales have always been higher than in Japan, like with most Kpop groups. So without Mashiro, their sales will probably drop even more there.

My bad. I actually misremembered who Madein was and confused them with Hitomi's group Say My Name, which debuted a few weeks ago.

Now I'm not confident in anything I'm going to say now. But I'd like to wait and see what happens. After Le Sserafim's first-day sales mania, I'd rather see what happens after a week or even a month.

  • Limelight had good sales numbers.

So they did have a fan base before the former Kep1er girls joined and rebranded.
