It depends on the sport (6) 26%
which sports would you not want separated by gender?
maybe golf
maybe golf
but men hit longer and harder in golf
just a quick google search - men hit 225 yards v women 170 yards that's a distinct advantage to males right though
In my sport it would make absolutely 0 sense to but in something like basketball where height is a huge advantage I think it should stay segregated. Really depends on the sport in question
Depends on the sport. There is no way a women should be allowed to play in the NFL for example.
Yes especially the ones which require physicality, men are just stronger in that regard. Maybe there are some sports where you could make an exception
Would either of you care to give an example of a sport that you could have mixed teams or males and females playing against each other.

Golf, Volleyball, Badminton
Things like Archery, Curling, Tennis, badminton or Ice Skating (for this I mean for solo not pair) could be mixed in my opinion?
Save some special events, physical focused games should have separated leagues.
Dunno how people consider mental games as sports, I think these would be fine with no separation although they may need a separate leagues to help acclimate females initially or some form of incentives to make the competition inviting instead of scaring them away. These games tend to be a boy's club with toxic mentality, so a separate league could help expand the competitive pool enough to reach some form of parity.
Other sports that don't have physical component like shooting (although it seems to favor females), I think I'm fine either way. Just have both ways actually. Separated leagues and some free for all competitions.

Archery, chess, golf, maybe swimming? actually there are quite a few where you could easily have people from both sex competing, just not directly like marathon, cycling and such, though men would probably still have some advantage but those are still mostly about endurance.
Maybe team based sports being mixed sex would be a good start, but will they evn bother?
I feel yes. Physically men will on average always have an advantage.
The real question for me is how are transgender men or women treated in sports. Like will it be unfair to other women to compete against a transwoman when she has always been physically stronger since birth. But if it is unfair then isn't it also unfair to not recognise the current gender of the participant?
I don't know how things work it's just a thought
Chess
Yea. On average men have a shit ton of advantages when it comes to physical strength etc.
On the athletics level those advantages are even bigger.
I'd like to point out that there are circumstances where it doesn't matter. I used to be in disabled sports and that cancels that out. any advantage is related to the nature of their disability and there's always a position for the less mobile kids.
