I'm very pessimistic about idols getting more rights like western or in general global artists has

  • Sure there were will be sporadic victories for some idols(LOONA)to break their contract because of mistreatment and mismanagement, but nepotism runs deep in korean entertainment with the media that I believe there will be little to no change. They are just too powerful to be beaten.

  • the issue isn't mistreatment per se but it's the practical application of such that's usually the issue no?

we can all agree in general that mistreatment should be grounds for breaking a contract

the question is then what is mistreatment

    not bowing to your seniors?

not hiring a former staff member?

    getting dungeoned?

then the question becomes how to prove mistreatment

a lot of times it's he said she said

    does one have written evidence?

is there a history of it?

what about what do you do if you believe there is mistreatment?

go to the courts for every slight?

    hold a live stream?

    complain to HR?

what if the company does not investigate? what if the company believe there is no mistreatment
