After 8 YEARS, Linkin Park is BACK with a new vocalist!

Honestly, this news came out from nowhere. After the death of Chester, I didn't pay too much attention to LP, even tho, they're my favorite rock band of all-time, but on November 15, they will release their new album "From Zero" with the new vocalist Armstrong and Colin Brittain and the new drummer.

I grew up listening to Linkin Park and loving their music. The news about Chester devastated me. I was sad at the possibility that the band might cease activity, but I was also understanding if they did.

Ultimately, I'm glad they found new members! I trust that the original members know how to carry on Chester's legacy the way he deserves. Nothing can ever replace Chester, but I believe continuing Linking Park is a great way to honor him.

To say I have mixed feelings about this would be an enormous understatement. I personally was hoping they would regroup, but for a new project, instead of trying to reform LP itself. Even more so now that they've lost another original member (which was also news to me.) I know that's not the marketable option, even if it's just a name, but... ehh. Frankly I'm afraid to even listen to the new song, much less hear them perform their old material. I still haven't.

I felt the same way, but after watching their LIVE on Youtube yesterday, and listening to the new song, I don't have a problem anymore. I can still feel the LP style in it, but I can also tell it's different and they even tried to mimic Chester. The name is the same, but the group is different for sure, in a good way.

the new song is so sick, i love the rawness in emily’s vocals. no one will ever replace chester, but im personally not mad at the group’s new direction with this vocalist. i just wish she didn’t have so much baggage in relation to her ties to scientology.

She's no Chester, there will never be another soul like him, but she's got the chops. I really didn't get into the last few albums but I'll definitely tune into the new one

Same, I sadly knew who she was before she joined them, due to her past links to and defenses of an r**pist, like literally he is in prison on a 20+ year sentence right now. Also finding out, this has been in the works since early 2019, she was already a long time friend of Mike's, while she was defending that gross man and attacking the r*pe victims, I got the ick. It all just kinda kills it for me, no matter how good her voice is, it does not matter if she is a poop person.

My other half could not even fathom them replacing Chester with someone with her past, and said it was going to be a disaster, even before the information about her actions resurfaced.

Like they could not find anyone else, except a friend of Mike's with an shady past, that goes against what Chester stood for? Not anyone else?
