Even though I live in the Midwest and grew up with it, I've always found it distasteful.

I'll be honest, I did watch country music videos on GAC for a while. We had finally got cable in our house, so I could finally watch MTV. However, to my annoyance I found they no longer aired music videos. I ended up watching both GAC and BET, seriously. Of course, I never cared much for either genre, I was just wanting to see music videos. Also, I did watch BET for longer than GAC, since the music on there was more interesting to me. On the other hand, I did enjoy a handful of country songs I found, though I can hardly remember any of them now except for what their music videos looked like. This was in the early 2000s mind you, so that was a LONG time ago.
