Some times artists who signed to a big label leave because they want a more tight knit team and more control creatively and the ability to decide what their activities are. Major labels are not always an artist's long term goal. Most of (f)x left because they were mistreated and faced lots of hostility towards the end of their time at SM. Victoria was the one who decided to stay and stayed as a creative director and actress until 2019. If she had not been such a key part in their business in Taiwan and China, she may not have stayed so long.

I agree. I think they will sign it. Although they are leaving Joy unemployed, she has done nothing but the Tod brand and the animal show for 3 years. They're still only releasing the ost that she covered 2 years ago and that song even debuted on Melon top 100. They should definitely give Joy a proper solo album after Irene. Joy Solo is the most successful in terms of charts. Seulgi and Wendy have the highest physical album sales. As long as Red Velvet continues to be successful, They will give them all solo albums. Just like Shinee. Sm doesn't do much promotion, but it's still better than having goes in a nugu company now.

Did not Joy confirm herself that she was working on a solo project ? She will probably release it after the 10th anniversary and the group comeback.

This has very little to do with their vocal ability , it's bc Taeyeon it's liked for her looks not just her voice
It goes hand on hand as much as people think visuals don't matter
Korea never like the way Luna looked and they tolerate Wendy looks but that is not enough considering u got more visuals of disbanded ggs thriving that their main vocals
While it's true that visuals determine who succeeds and who doesn't in Korea, Snsd played a big role in Taeyeon's solo career success + the way she's been promoted since debut by SM. If you compare that to Luna's and Wendy's careers, there's a very big difference.
Fx's group situation made it even harder for Luna to grow big. By their 5th year, there were a lot of individual issues for every member while by Snsd's 5th year, every member was killing solo and in the group and Taeyeon had her TTS push etc
All 3 main vocalists have had different situations as idols that determine their solo success, visuals being one of those things.
If only visuals were important, Yuri and Yoona would have some of the most successful solo albums by Kpop female idols because they are very beautiful.
