I wonder if this controversy will affect Newjeans' sales and performance for their next cb

  • Their comeback is less than a month away, so the issues will still be a hot topic by then, especially if it moving to the legal stage. Many companies' fans are dropping them left and right after all of this, so I wonder if it will affect their next release, especially in terms of sales.

NJ is not even two years old; how can anyone, especially Hybe and MHJ, expect the girls to emerge unscathed from all of this? Their fanbase is still small, and I believe none of the girls are mentally prepared for this after joining one of the Big 4. It's something you'd expect to happen in a small company. All the adults around them have failed them.

  • The only reason they would be dropping in sales is due to them having consecutive single album releases one month apart. The gp is on their side, I'm just worried people would prefer their japanese album more because of the bags and ignore their Korean one.

  • I feel like it should help them.

I have seen a lot of people who support them, and people will check out the comeback just because this whole fiasco has them curious. Even non-fans will probably tune in. As long as the song is good, they should see the same success.

I'm more worried about HYBE interfering and sabotaging tbh.

  • Sales wise, due to the strange roll out, my expectations aren't high for the albums sold numbers, but that has little to do with the controversy.

In terms of people listening to their music, I would suggest taking a look at how much more popular this incident has made them, which is pretty wild for me to type given how popular they already were.
