Nah, not for me. Mamamoo's cb wasn't my fave honestly, but SNSD, Velvet, G-Idle and IVE saved it a bit. 2022 was actually boring as hell, especially if only count the mainstream media.
For me 2022 saved by them: SNSD "Forever1" Album, Wheein's "WHEE" EP, Moonbyul's "6equence" EP, Solar's "FACE" EP, Hwasa's "Somebody" Single, Taeyeon's "INVU" Album.
Nobody realizes that 2023 was the most dominant year of GG (and idol music in general)
This was my next thread. Way to spoil it
Based on the music show win data I've collected, the claim is true, as shown in the chart below:
Girl groups received exactly 50% of all wins in 2022, the highest figure ever recorded. 2022 is followed by 2020 (44.9%), 2016 (43.6%), 2010 (39.9%), and 2018 (39.8%).
I think because people are so set in what songs they think are best

i saw this article on allkpop a long while ago that says that theres a decrease in male trainees compared to female trainees. kpop is now a gg dominated with more girl groups than boy groups comapared to back then
