The fate of melon yearly #1 : A battle between TWS and the Senior Singer

With Yoon Mirae and Tiger JK pulling a Fifty Fifty over Bibi, the chance for her to take the yearly #1 is now gone.

Ditto to Fate, Magnetic, the ballad by the Melon cheater Lim Jaehyun, etc.

At this point only two songs remain still standing

TWS' Plot Twist, which is now popular since it is springtime,

vs

'Love Wins All' by you-know-who.

The problem is TWS' song is a spring song and is likely to get weaker as summer arrives, while You-know-who's song does not really get affected by the weather.

When Bibi's song unseated you know who's song, I thought we were finally seeing the last of you-know-who, whose complete lack pf contribution to KPop for her perhaps undeservingly long reign was nothing less than remarkable.

So while TWS has the edge now, there are still 8.5 more months remaining in the year,

Plus it is very likely that you-know-who would release a single before she has her encore concert on Sep 2024.

I am sad to see how the wars to get rid of KPop the one person who had contributed nothing towards its success yet continuing to hinder its advances even now did not come to a successful conclusion.

She is the one reason Melon is still relevant now, and if she prevails, hope on humankind declines by one big notch.

Without Bibi's song composed by IU's ex, TWS would have taken the #1 at Melon, although how it might have fought Gidel's Fate would be an open question and the fate of Illit would also have changed.

If TWS wins, KPop can move on to the next gen , finally, without the shadow of the singer who contributed so little to KPop's worldwide expansion while if TWS loses the It Hag will continue her reign.

Something Lee JIeun has not tolerated for years. It depends upon how hot the summer will be in Korea as TWS's song is more geared towards warmer weather, so summer should arrive later than usual there to make sure it gets the yearly #1, a huge triumph for Hybe and making it the first Hybe boy group to win that title
