Have you ever been teased in school for liking kpop?

I'm a 12th grader in high school, most of the people I'm around are like "eww kpop? I hate kpop.." and I'm just like: "okay...? cool? I didn't ask you're opinion" I seriously don't understand. Most of the time I don't even bring it up. I have an NCT 2023 Golden Age Doyoung pc in the back of my phone case and that's what triggers these people.

I left my phone at my table when I was getting lunch and two boys were in front of me as I was going to my seat and were pointing at my phone case and laughing. I walked right behind them and picked it up and said "excuse me" politely ofc. They stopped laughing one said "I'm sorry" and walked away

a girl in one of my classes was like "kpop is so bad, I hate it, sorry."

There are only like, 4 kpop fans in my school (could be more though, this place is huge)

Honestly it wasn't big in my school (this was in 2017 - 2019), there was one girl who was always super nice to me and sat with me when I watched BTS, BlockB, B.A.P and NCT dance practices, but no one ever asked what it was, or why I liked it. I always wonder how she's doing tbh, I hope she's doing well.

I was teased for other things but never KP.

It was a sports focused school and if you didn't do sports well lets just say you got teased.
