Appreciating Taehyung (V of BTS) Vocal Range

  • Talented king.

If you want to know the physics behind how Tae goes tenor when he's a baritone in full chest voice (and can briefly dip to bass range when necessary), you can train your vocal tract. Bighit actually has very good vocal coaches, you can noticeably hear an improvement in all their artist's tone and range over the years. There are vocal exercises you can do to extend your own tone and range if that's something you want to do. Tae (and Jungkook, actually but that's a discussion for a different thread) regularly extends his range, which is perfectly fine and healthy for a professional singer who's doing his work correctly. All of BTS sing with extraordinarily good production and technical skills, which again, is a testament to the talent and dedication of their vocal coaches. Hats off to Bighit, whoever you're paying for vocal coaching, don't stop.

You have to be kidding lol

    are you a troll...?

No! I actually really respect both BTS and Bighit's coaches. They've obviously worked hard. They debuted with great voices, and if you listen to them over the years, they maintained a really great tone as they matured from teenagers to full-grown men, which is not the easiest thing to do. Their head and chest voices are beautifully connected, and they slip easily into falsetto or bass when needed. Most men can't do that, unless they're well-trained vocally. What BTS do vocally is not easy, it requires practice, and it deserves respect. When I referred to Jungkook, I simply meant he actually has a deeper speaking voice but sings in a steady tenor, which requires TRAINING.

I was just saying, you CAN train that. BTS may have talent, but ordinary people should know that raising your range is something you can do. You may not reach BTS levels of range-extension, and you won't sound like them because that's crazy level of talent no matter how much training you get, but practice is worth it and can help.

Nope, you're definitely a troll. Or, I guess you haven't watched the BTS members almost begging in front of the cameras to take a vocal lessons all these years. :pepefacepalm:
