I more or less missed the Itzy debut. Was the expectation and noise around them a sister group to Twice, a "junior" group or a replacement? Did Onces approach Itzy as "this is a cute younger sister group to work alongside Twice" or "This group is being introduced to replace Twice"?
The reason why many Blinks didn't bother with BabyMonster is a lot of the hype and talk was very much replacement, not sister, to Blackpink. Blinks don't want a replacement, Blinks also disliked YG a lot in later half '23. Why be excited or hyped for a "replacement" group?
Especially when the replacement is a bunch of still in diaper wearing preschool aged kids, one of whom is named after a fucking banana company (an EVIL one at that).
Besides, KoL and XG are the better replacements.
