I think both suck. If I didn't pay for a subscription I would go back to downloading MP3s.

Spotify is overhyped imo. Youtube Music and literally Musi are so much better. Like if you only care about making aesthetic playlists then pay for Spotify but there are literally so many apps that do the same thing it does.

Honestly I download most of my music as mp3s and listen on my phone using the samsung music app also sometimes I don't have internet access

I only use spotify when I'm on my laptop since I can make my own playlists and I don't have to listen on shuffle

I never use YT music bcs it stops playing as soon as I lock my phone

Also on my phone I can download BTS live albums, soundcloud songs (the seesaw X I Need U remix ), the proof demos, stuff from yt like the perfect man performance's audio and of course black swan the orchestral version

I am using the Spotify family version together w my parents so I cant say anything abt Spotify free version but the paid one is amazing
