No wonder companies nowadays dont want groups to grow bigger than the company.
Because once they reach that level of stardom, it's hard to control them and get them to do what you want them to.
Because im not too familiar with BLACKPINK, but its almost as if YG has to work on THEIR schedule now.

if they were able to debut more girl groups than once in 7 years they wouldn't be in this mess. Ofc they have to give bp everything they want, they'd be nothing without them. Treasure is well, treasure, and BM had the worst debut out of big4 groups. We'll see how that goes in the future

My thing is this, they had the money to debut new acts.
Once Ikon started failing and Winner was falling off, Treasure should've then came and then a girl group that same year...kinda like how Le sserafim and NewJeans debuted in the same year too.
Then 2 years later, another boy group and girl group around the same time.
After those new 4 groups, PLUS BlackPink in the companu..they would be just fine

They have money but they are incompetent. You are big 4 company and have 2 active groups and have just debuted another one. So 3. Their groups are always on hiatus, in fact, BM has just debuted and they are already on hiatus. They are incompetent, plain and simple. They got lucky with BP (members). If i were YGE I'd give BP everything they wanted. Everything
