I think kpop fans in general are consistent with O.O still a horrible debut/song and Attention being good.

I don't think it's right to automatically blanket judge all critical and negative comments as all K-pop stans being biased or prejudiced.
Sometimes people simply like or dislike a song or MV, nothing more to it.
However, since K-pop fans are humans too, all the usual human psychological and emotional mechanics work in K-pop situations too:
If people like a certain style or previous groups of the debuting group's company, they will look more positively and favorably towards the debut of that new group (or negatively, when they dislike the company or sibling groups of the debuting group). What I'd call 'the Apple effect'.
And then there's expectation management and 1st impression vs follow-up impressions: sometimes a song sounds disappointing or just ok at the first listen - only to really start to shine when seen/heard at performances or after a few listens.
