Is Catch The Young a weird name for a kpop group?

    Well... I saw an article on a website that was clowning that group's name... (not going to mention the website, because it might be a "rival" to AKP)

    And also, the comments to the article making some "white van" jokes... which made me feel a bit uncomfortable.



    I admit that I do think that it maybe sounds kinda weird.

    But I have gotten so used to it.

    They used to be called Evermore The Young until they auditioned in MNET's Great Seoul Invasion. (Evermore because their company is Evermore Entertainment)



    But not the first time that Evermore has had a group with a weird name.

    Like there was also "Voisper", which was a mix between "voice" and "whisper"... (before joining Evermore, they were called 북인천나인틴, which means "North Incheon Nineteen")

    I even remember seeing a meme that was like "let me voisper in your ear" or something lol




    By the way, I'm excited for Catch The Young's debut and their Cactus Boy music video.

    Ehhh it's a bit strange that's all.

    I mean catch the young?

    I don't get why you'd choose that name for your group.

    It started a couple of years ago but since then there is this trend of naming albums with this Title 1: Title 2 naming convention (for both girl groups and boy groups) and it's really annoying. Mostly because these albums tend to have have wannabe profound titles that don't actually have any impact on the actual content. It's just supposed to make you feel like what they're doing is complex and deep
