All their R&B songs are SO good. And while I like drum & bass and I love R&B way more. Plus, drum & bass has run its course as a trend while R&B still holds strong. ADOR is good at reading the western market so I hope they lean more into R&B next comeback.

Also as compensation for making Get Up SO DAMN SHORT :pepe-laser-eyes:

  • Me too. I loved Get Up as an album but I think the genre change and the short songs should only last for this particular project.

I’m ready for R&B Jeans to make a return.

Get Up is my least favorite release from them, unfortunately. I hope for their next release it's an R&B-focused album with more songs like Attention, Hurt, Get Up, Cookie(STRICTLY in terms of sound, not lyrics), and OMG.

Also, bring the 3+ minute long songs back ADOR :pepe-cut:

  • Why are you so against English songs? Japanese songs are made for the same reason, to expand into the music market that speaks that language, and you don't seem to have a problem with those.

oh i'm not a big jpop fan either even if i'm a weeb but the songs still sound a bit similar to kpop as opposed to a more western sounding english song aimed towards a more global market. i'm not like anti-english song since i can always just wait for the next cb in case a group decides to do an eng album like gidle just did a while back but i can't lie that i would much rather listen to korean songs because they have a distinct charm that you only get because of the difference in the way the words sound, cadence etc-- you know, all the linguistic properties that are inherent in every language. i just happen to prefer korean but that doesn't mean english songs suck or anything

  • agreed, take a look at any of the members music recommendations and playlists - it's clear RnB is their common strong point. my comfort is that while they're in the fandom-building phase, it makes sense to do more trendy genre exercises. plenty of time to do deep RnB later in their career lol

also, I love that they showed so much strength in new sounds this year <3

I hope a little later in their career they do a concept like Red Velvet's Bad Boy. It would be a perfect transition song and concept to mature NewJean's image when the girls are a little bit older.
