Does anyone know how true the controversies surrounding Mackenyu are

So I was just watching one piece and was excited for Zoro obviously then was linked this thread and I was like eye-

It reads like a gag so I don’t really know and he’s in Netflix’s biggest production like nothing happened so I was confused 👩‍🦯👩‍🦯👩‍🦯💀

As you can see, those rumors have been out since last year. Ever since the controversial YouTube guy "exposed" him and several other people. A guy who got arrested as soon as he re-entered Japan for his defamation against Japanese celebrities. The story behind him is wild btw.

Saying that to say, it could be true. It could not be true. I wouldn't be surprised if a lot Japanese celebrities had ties to the Yakuza, but nothing to substantiate those claims has come in the year since he accused Mackenyu. And, Mackenyu has not been charged with anything by the police.

It's left up to people if they will choose to believe this or not.

Got it so there’s been no follow ups to these accusations so far. Guess I’ll just take it with a grain of salt all round.
