    jokes aside I guess you have to ask yourself what is it about them in person that fails to connect you to them?

    is it their looks? is he not your type?

    their personality - some people especially on the net or over text seem like a nice dude only for their "real" shitty personalities to show up in person

    I've always said that on the internet and I guess also text that we as humans are missing a whole load of non verbal communication and maybe in person he's just not as good as he seems


    on the other hand - some people have issues communicating and espressing themselves in person maybe they are shy or introverted or something that makes face to face interactions harder??

    hmm...well in that case maybe you like the idea of him and the ideal him I guess but if his looks aren't your type then you're gonna have issues my friend

    I mean humans always talk about "oh I'm in it for the personality" but looks are very important as well and for most people it forms some of the first impressions one has of someone


    personally I guess maybe but it was so long ago I guess my friends tried to set me up with a girl and we got along fine over messenger/text/but when she say me (ie. in person me) she didn't like the way I looked and that was basically that lol - sure I was a bit hurt but one gets over it

    well tbh i used to play this game called second life and yes you can form relationships and get to know people and one person i have met in person and things were fine and then shit went sour...but the last person i "dated" fucked me over bad, played really bad mind games and drove me to suicide...luckily my bestie introduced me to kpop it became a big distraction for me, for 3 years i left the "game" and finally mustered the courage to block the piece of shit and yeah...if it wasn't for kpop i don't know where I would be...The first guy seemed to have his ducks in a row but he ended up getting stupid...he was much too young and he appeared mature but after meeting him he was anything but...this other guy was secretive and wouldnt' be honest about anything but got in my head pretty bad...


    so to answer your question yes i have, i was on the game for 10 + years there's many success stories where people have met in person fell in love got married etc. just never happened to me lol


    there was also a time back when yahoo had chatrooms and i met a guy who lived an hour away from me, we talked for months and he asked me to move in with him after we met in person...so i did...and 3 months later he threw me out to take his pregnant ex g/f back

    Well... this is a platonic example from me, but I remember when I used to be texting with a girl, who was autistic just like me.

    I think we texted a lot.


    But when we met for the first time in person, it was awkward and we barely talked...
