Well I’m not a part of any religion, so I don’t know anything about the dark side of any religions to decide if any religions do or not

I believe that religion can cause both good & bad things. Faith can help people persevere in tough times, and it can also cause people to shun others. Speaking as a Christian, I believe that a lot of people go wayyyyy too far sometimes. I believe the bible has been interpreted incorrectly over time in a few instances.
What I take from my religion is that you should help others, work on yourselves, and try to be a good person. Many people use religion to not be good people, and that contradicts whatever they believe in themselves.

if practiced correctly, it does not cause more harm.
people are terribly misinformed and unwilling to correct themselves. so i think its their own pride that causes the harm.

Well, the biggest religions have not condemned or even promoted horrible things like slavery, pedophilia, wars, etc etc. I believe we will be just as evil without religion. But without religion we will not have stupid people believing the earth only have six million years, blocking scientific proof just because it goes against their beliefs, etc, etc. Worth mention, teaches people to be submissive to injustice. "Why we have to fight against injustice in the world with all are strength if God is going to do justice in the future? Why we have to protect our planet if God is not going to let the planet to be destroyed? It does way more harm than good, alot.

The thing is that. False religion will be destroyed. As prophecied.
People who group religions together are just idiotic. Religions teaching that God who is merciful burns people forever they are defaming God as a cruel person when he isn't.
There are Jews fighting with Muslims in the middle east both claiming to have God but both killing in cold blood?
How do murderers have God when God hates violence?
Religions as a whole have done a lot more damage and that's because they're not run by the true God they're run by Satan, and 1st John 5-19 states that the world is lying in satans power.
But those who truly serve God keep out of wars they don't kill people or blow people up they promote peace and family unity. If ones were to be truly serving God and followers of Christ that will bring more good but sadly most aren't.
