Joke aside maybe the music change hurt them in SK but it did wonders for their international popularity, their sales and touring, it is safe to say they are even more successful and popular now. So I wouldn't use "hurt them" as much as benefited them

no group can escape it eventually one day whether it's tomorrow or 10 years or 100 one's fame is going to fade and people are going to slowly forget about you and move on to the next best thing

even groups known for "duality" have established that as their niche since debut

twice simply released TONS of songs in a specific sound and DOMINATED everyone in and out of their niche

its not like the GP thinks twice songs got "bad" after the sound change, its just that they lost their identity

people usually listen to songs that reflect a certain mood they want to be in, and twice's songs these days have no specific feeling they convey

its just "yeah i'll listen if it comes up but i wont search for it" kind of mood

and i say this as someone who truly liked twice's old music AND loved the fancy album

its not like i listen to cute girlgroups much but when i need happy feel good music, i know i can go to twice's old music

sometimes i feel like edgy emo pop, I can go to some of the bsides on the Fancy You album
