What is break wing project that Bts mention in their book?

  • Now, I'm not a fan but I see a discussion on reddit about BTS book that they talking about their journey in this industry. It's interesting tbh and even as non fans I actually want to purchase it because many said they talking a lot about the reality of what happened behind the camera. Anyway, I'm interested in that break wing project that people said they mentioned in their book. I still didn't get any answers about it, so anyone here know about it?

  • It was started by a certain fandom and others join in trying to sabotage BTS comeback during the Wing era. They were trending numerous horrible things about the boys. That's why they became aware of the hate campaign. There is a reason why plagiriasm and sajaegi was attached to their names in the past.

  • just antis being antis, but the fact that they got loud enough that they became aware of it...

honestly, all big groups go through this, i think with BTS it was exacerbated by the fact that they were form a small company and apparently more popular internationally than domestically.

*cracking fingers, white paper project ready*

As someone who’s living the worst part of it,

What part do you want to know?

I have many questions tbh especially about how and why it started and how it effects Bts career. Basically I just wanna know full story 😅. I have asking my irl army friends since 2015 about it but she quote me with 'it was not a nice memory to remember'. I kinda tempting to search about it on twitter but yeah don't want to see any fanwars so I avoid that app.

ngl bringing it back brought up some shiver in me because the verbal abuse thrown was so bad so it’s not trauma only for bts but for us, but maybe your friend refuse to talk about it is because you just can’t talk about the hate campaign from May 2016 to November 2018 without mentioning fandoms (yes several of them) and it will never end up well

It was very stressful time and touring afterwards because there’s legit death threats for jimin in US sent to venue and twitter, and the hate didn’t even let up after bts’ first mma and mama daesang that year, followed with accusation of being war supporters by Japanese right wingers, china fandoms and some officials trying to link bts to hongkong resistance, and so much more

So yeah, that’s the gist, i gloss over so many things because then i would have to put many disturbing pictures and mention fandoms and i’m not feeling like getting wp today muah💋

  • Oh and effect on bts…hmm largely very mentally taxing on their part, they did have to go to court as witness because the sajaegi accusation had been submitted and there was investigation to it but the result said there was no sales manipulation, all data provided online and in store largely match. Love yourself series also full of songs being reflective of their self worth and whether they deserve to internalize such hate

And i guess for army it made us very rigorous with understanding how korean music industry works? Cracking down how album sales work, how artist revenue works in streaming platforms, we just make knowledge our weapon to support bts charting so they’ll never get questioned about their popularity and ended up breaking many records for bts and get them to BBMAs, and we started all over with US music charting

So basically the project make army’s bed, and now we all lie in it

  • It was horrible.

BTS had it worst than any bg fandom. I lived through it.

Those fandoms were like a never-ending swarm of wasps. Horrible experience.
