I just remember a while ago that ITZY members were concerned about not getting their concepts/music right, enough to confront JYP about it (obviously in a tactful way). JYP simply deflected it saying the girls would be fine because they could sing and dance live... Wtf? Also suggested they'd have promising solo careers. I don't know what to make of that.

A shame, since their talent as performers is a producer's dream, they just need someone like a Soyeon to be invested and fully bring out what they can offer.

This still holds up as one of the most expressive dance performances I've seen in Kpop. They've done it before, so they can do it again. And JYPE artists tend to express lyrics through choreo more than others, so in that sense they do fit JYPE. Just unfortunate that JYP is making me keep my expectations in check for their comeback.

Korea doesn't matter. The chump change is Korea. The big leagues is overseas concerts.

So don't count out Itzy just yet, because Korea doesn't matter. Twice had a couple of years where they were in the wilderness.

Also gidle have 1.5 yrs left on the contract. Anything can happen, like members deciding to retire or either or both of the Chinese members getting $20mil+ contracts from Tencent or any other Chinese film studio to go solo as an actresses. Both members will get offers for sure, so its whether or not they want to and can stay in the group and also act or not.
