Because these sales number are used as a competition and bragging right by many kpop stans...

Based on their charting in China, their sales make sense.

I've seen posts as well where they've been trending for various reasons.

Considering China has a population of 1.4 BILLION it shouldn't be surprising.

There could be a trillion people living in China but it wouldn't matter because it's based off their Weibo CBar member numbers and like any group, the huge majority will not donate or buy albums because they are subscribed to be part of that Community.

So whether it's aespa, IVE, newjeans, NMIXX, Le SSerafim, TWICE, Red Velvet or BlackPINK, they all have CBars that are doing bulk buying.

The reason we seem to get Cbar numbers is for bragging rights....
