  • Elon don't want to lose user and seems try to enticing the non-blue fanbase account to subs, so they can get the same benefit

    But sometimes I wonder....

If twitter becomes obsolete, where will official kpop groups and the fanbase account move?

Will they stay on fancafe sites? Which will reduce their reach to the global world.

Or will they move to reddit? A forum-based site which may or may not works..?

  • instagram, tiktok

  • If Hybe can get everyone onto Weverse… :pepe-narrow-eyes:

  • Why are they lying? They just bought the blue mark

nope a lot of fanbases with >1m followers are getting blue ticks for free

  • They reinstated the legacy blue as subscribed blue but instead gave it to everyone over 1M.

Accounts with millions of followers without a checkmark but Joe with 69 followers with one made it completely worthless and broke the illusion of fame.

  • It's just 8 USD a month. They clearly just payed. The point in this monetization is to people with many subscribe the service, why would they give it for free

Because when the big accounts lost it it lost its value and made it less appealing to those small accounts to pay for it. The whole selling point of Twitter Blue was the illusion of making yourself part of the select group of legacy verified. But when all the legacy verified disappeared it lost all its status.

  • It's everywhere.

Accounts over 1m followers. Celebrities that refused to buy the tick are getting it as well, like LeBron, Stephen King and Neil Gaiman.

It seems a few things are happening.

Space Karen is trolling by giving free ticks to very famous people that publicly refused to by, to try and "embarrass them"

It was realised that if the BIG accounts with millions of followers didn't buy in, and it was only small fry nobodies with less than a few thousand followers, it's a bad look. So "force" the big accounts on it.

There's a very big, and growing, "Block the Blue" movement where people are blocking almost every blue tick they see. Even using programs to auto block blue ticks. Because most "normal" people buying it are right wing chuds, cryptobros and weirdoes. By giving big, popular or famous accounts a tick, it prevents users from aut blocking blue ticks in case you block "good stuff" and it makes the Block the Blue movement look like hypocrites if you only block some.

Don't care, still blocking MOST blue ticks, cause its fun seeing the chuds realised they pissed $8 a month away only to LOSE audience.
