It shouldn't be fun. Because it boils down to toxic fan culture and belittling of the idols, instead of appreciating these people for who they are as individuals people boil down their entire lives to charts stats and achievements even to the point they will personally attack or blame others for not knowing a stat about another group that whole james corden thing is a great example of it. The idols lives are much much more than just stats they have many things to deal with and worry about that charts is not something they are closely monitoring 24/7 especially to remember the results of it everyday

True its fun and games to get happy over it but some people stream songs just for the competition and its so annoying.
