As far as Korea is concerned it's the other way around. Actors are considered A-list in Korea and Kang Dongwon is as big as it gets. And he's about to breakout in America. It's why it's the #1 story in Korea currently.
Whether Kpoppies like to admit it or not, idols will always be considered a level below actors in Korea.
Anyway, Kang Dongwon was under YG a long time until recently. So it's definitely possible they've known each other a while.

But are there really any power gap dynamics between Rose and the actor dude? Rose is 1000x more popular globally than the actor, who though very famous in Korea, is no longer at his peak (2004-2010). Not sure what his net worth is, but Rose is easily in the 10 figure category, i really dont think we have to worry about him wielding any undue influence over her livelihood lol.
