do you think there is now way too many activities outside of usual Korean world?
and even if some of those activities are the same then those lenght flights and banquets and fashion shows and partying and travels are taking time which could be spend or 'second comeback this year' or something like that?
Honestly as a fan I can accept KCON's, Festivals, Concerts, World Tours, but flying half of world just to wear shoes which look like part of giant fireman clothing line or basically keeping a tiny designer bag in your hands just ain't it... it's bullshit. Same with those "we've attended meeting with X, Y, Z" why would you? it ain't professional, your manager or some higher up from agency would do it if they would really think of you as a star.
Will give you an example from sports yeah soccer players do go for a party with teammates, they do drink, they also go together for some vacation/holiday, especially those who are best friends and already have kids... but for gods sake that's the same as you would go dancing in Itaewon or Gangnam, or if one of group members have rich parents just go to their house, who knows... or if they had normal parents you can be like Jihyo who tagged in to Sejeong's house and they've sang karaoke songs with Sejeong's mom. Can be done? Can!
Now here it's that border line soccer players also do attend some fashion bullshit but many times it recently is at brand more likely to 'go' to the stadium of the club and set some photo wall there and maybe do a press conference. It works... just do it the same in Korea.
Lastly look at guys like Beckham, Ronaldo (the Brazilian one), and many others, they own a football (soccer) clubs nowadays! But they've all started this business ventures, and digged deep into it when they've finished their careers.
It shouldn't be possible for one or another fashion brand to ruin whole kpop group schedule or one member health because they are Prada or Gucci or Louis Vuitton and they have some event for not important 70 year old people after tons of plastic surgeries...
Besides if we put the list of countries and their 'buying power' IMF ranks South Korea higher than Italy, and just bit behind UK and France...
what does it show/say then?
Just do flippin SEOUL Fashion Week bastards.
And if you want to do a show in Europe, then do a show... a proper one, if you have group as brand ambassadors then organize their concert and make them dance wearing your flippin leggins, baggy, new jeans (pun not intended) or somethin... they can even wear slippers on hands and sing about flip flop, well Billie already sing that, but they didn't wear those slippers.
rant ended, proof below.
