Why do we always get this pre debut top tier skill trainees become average idols?

  • Watched the last introduction video of Baemon and suddenly caught myself thinking "yeah, lets see their encore stage after the debut and win a music show". It is just that we see this phenomenon too much these days, all these pre debut dance videos, covers and etc for then have these idols fail to do bare minimum. Especially it is noticable with Produce/Survival show idols because, as we now know, all those performances are heavily edited.

  • also you forget all these trainees are on a kill or die mode. They are pushed to the limit, and it is like a spiral in wich the closer the get to the center, the faster it goes. They know is the only way of debuting.

But then, they can´t lead that life for years and years. Like a good Twice stan you should know better. How those girls that get 2 o 3 comebacks a year, and extreme difficult choreos, they all end up with health problems. I guess you don´t care as long as you can say, they are always doing their best job.

Many people are like that on kpop. I like to enjoy the music, they are not athletes, and it is not all a competition
