Dumbest thing my grandparents ever said

When I was like 8 and knew how to count basic numbers I asked my grandmparents mom-side if they are around the same age as the grandparents of my dad-side

My grandma got mad AF and said "I am not this old what the hell are you thinking?" I just asked if they are also end 50s of age and than they got so so so so mad

Well as both died and my mom sended out letters informing friends and family that had the birthdays mentioned in it I knew they were in fact actually even older and used to be in their 60s when I was a small kid.

lol I never met anyone's grandparents or old people in general who got that mad when asking them for their age except what my grandparents did

Might be it. They also said dumb stuff like

• "I am a grandma ... not have to take care of my grandchildren like if I was their mom ... and I have a job ... I was just happy that my kids are old enough to have moved out and now they have their own kids and annoy me with them"
• "Can you please ask your old grandma (mom of my dad) how it is to have dentures? I might get them [In the future] and just wanted to know how it is to have them..." (she actually got dentures 2 weeks later)
• "Do I look that old to you? I am not that old!"
• "If I would be a old woman, than why am I still able to visit a foreign country by plane?" (She and her friends went to Fuerteventura all 3 years together)
• She tried to claim her failed 80s fashion as "still hot and in trend" in the 2000s when for example leather jackets were back in style but the jacket she showed me that she later on gifted to my cousin was ugly as freak but well it was most likly trendy in the 80s
• She claimed old women meeting each week to play cardgames like Scat wouldn't be just a old woman thing

I think it ashamed her a bit that she got her kids when she was end 30s to middle 40s and that her daughters had their own kids at 18 years old. I mean some women who get kids this late think they are more responsible cause of their age but seem to feel they did something wrong when their own child gets to be a mom very young and it felt like that sometimes

These are just some examples, IDK most anymore or just don't feel it would be good to mention it

The most sexual (not really sexist I guess, but kinda) thing I ever heard was when my grandma, dad-side of the family, and I watched a crime show on TV and the suspected man said he was too horny and therefore abused a woman and my grandma did not care that I sat next to her and she yelled very loudly "THAN WHY THE FUCK DID YOU ASSHOLE NOT JUST MASTURBATE?"
