We only talk about shiny new toys and that makes for fresh and entertaining threads.
Aren't they already past a year old? In today's kpop industry, that makes them old hags and has-beens. Even NJ is already halfway to their expire date. Kpop fans LOVE newer and fresher blood. I'm surprised there's not a group filled with 10 year olds yet. But there's always next year to look forward to!
At first I didn't because of Wonyoung popularity but lately the hate this group gets makes it feel like people don't want them to become successful anymore.
Even this forum stopped talking about them and now acts like NewJeans, Le Sserafim and Baby Monster are the only girl groups that matter.
Or is it just the natural progression of kpop where after a year you are played out and people move on?
i distinctly remember thinking everyone else were underdogs when IVE had their LOVE DIVE and AFTER LIKE cb. but right now NewJeans is having a moment so.. maybe that's why?
personally, i wouldn't call them underdogs. even w/o a cb they're constantly being mentioned by u.. and other ive stans online.
i have to say , 4th gen GG's fight for dominance is beginning to remind me of 3rd gen - where only a handful are becoming front runners.
