People need ro stfu about that argument. Obviously Hybe/Bts give them a consequent kick and exposure, but their fulgurant succes is mostly due to Ador and NJ. (their music mostly and the direction)

Otherwise LSFM and TXT would have been just as popular if Hybe/Bts privilege was so determinant.

People just like to use this over reach of an argument to downplay NJ's sucess and attribute it to BTS or Hybe or whatever tierce person.

im not downplaying their success but c'mon they have had promotion as "BTS's little sister" and it does actually make a valid sense like : if you had a kpop group debut in a label where you have a world class, world-wide famous act , would you not promote them involving the famous group somehow?

The impact of the HYBE platform and name was huge for NewJeans, but the real answer to their success is a complicated mix of so many factors, and I won't downplay the power of the songs themselves because they are truly well-made earworms.

I have to admire that HYBE didn't go all out with making BTS-NWJNS connections to encourage company stanning, they could have been way more blatant. As it stands the only real interactions that exist are the PTD cameo pre-debut, and a few shots of Namjoon + Hobi dancing to NewJeans songs at a charity event.

Yeah, she needs to take heed from a guy who ruined BTS's musical legacy by making BTS release songs that they would have never thought to themselves that they would ever release even if it would get them a Grammy.

It was mostly due to the quality of the songs., especially Hype Boy and Ditto. Don't forget that. Obviously BTS and HYBE did during those latter stages of BTS when they were chasing after that worthless Grammy award.

I wouldn't trust HYBE with any influence over musical direction at this point. You can just look at Le Sserafim and latter day BTS. So I hope Min Heejin keep on playing this higher ground over them.
