with looks the group's popularity as well as their company also play a great role for their popularity. If you see the sm groups (who are usually popular in China) most of the good looking sm idols have large china fanbase. Also cbars work differently. I still dont understand their bulk buying system.

I think Yeonjun has always been the most popular TXT member in China, and one of the most popular Kpop idols in China amongst 4th gen and even 3rd gen. The group is also rising in popularity there so it's not a surprise that there is a linear upwards trend in Yeonjun's popularity for recent comebacks.
