YG's main formula and reason for the success for their girl groups was their typical, unique (for K-pop and Koreans) style of brand promotion and image building, and their top producer/composer, Teddy.
This did wonders.
Will be interesting to see how it'll be now that Teddy won't be in the picture for YG's new group. But GD is practically of the same level as Teddy, so the formula will still work.
Plus every next group can and will profit at least a bit from the success and popularity of the former group of the same company, if that group has been the top girl group or boy group.
