hyein is going to turn into THE argument against underage idols

  • girl was forced into modeling/idol life by parents at a young age
jumps directly into big 4 group due to her looks fitting the group
starts "modeling" for luxury brands asap at the discretion of adult men

shits like a recipe for mental disorders

straight up weird she solo models for LV, yet people celebrate it

  • I mean, i feel like it just breeds narcissism. It’s shown adolescent feel indestructible and have a “main character” look on life at that age.

This tends to get worse when they have huge financial success.

I think it was Demi Lovato who talked about having a sense of superiority over her parents because she was paying for the house and basically all their expenses at 16/17. So how could they ground her or tell her not to do drugs, when they relied on her.

The good news is, korean culture is a little bit different. I’d say most idols in major companies come from well off families, so it’s less likely for these idols to be 100% supporting their parents financially. I also think companies keep them in check, since companies tend to have more power in kpop vs the western industry where Talent (actors, musicians etc) always gets what they want.

Either way, i think it’d be hard for anyone pre 25, to have unlimited money and access.
