Why should I even care for their opinion

Also why should someone in your workplace even talk to you about topics like that?

Most people actually don't even know shit about their coworkers, not when they have birthday or if they have siblings,... so why should they than get into talk to you about music?

In many workplaces your boss could also scold you if you do other things than work so just don't talk to people about stuff that could in the worst case make someone else say stuff to you that you don't want to hear

I almost don't know anything about my coworkers (except for one with whom I have a really good relationship, but I've never talked about Kpop with her), so I don't think I would ever know.

My coworkers knew that I listen to Metal and Rock, but we never talked about specific bands or music festivals. When I discovered K-Pop I was already in early retirement.
