Nah, K-pop is way more enjoyable when I forget about the fan element and just enjoy my faves. Fandom politics and drama is for perpetually bored people. Why would I spend my time arguing about K-pop when I could just watch anime or play a video game instead.

I hate to imagine what its like to meet other IRL kpop fans if you're invested in fanwars. Like, you're gonna potentially not make a new friend and bond over music over some tweets?

K-pop fans take themselves far too seriously sometimes, it can be exhausting to engage with them. That’s why I tend to like forums as there are more mature ppl here in general (although there are certainly exception) I don’t think it’s as toxic or as cratered on fandom politics than twitter, Reddit and other platforms

I've had people in the past who I thought they were my friends block me in twitter and being mad at me because of some stupid fanwars. For real.
