[BTS CONTENT] South Aftrica is one of the top and fastest markets for kpop in the Sub-Saharan Africa with BTS at the helm + Nigeria, Kenya and Ghana!!!

I'm not surprised by that in South Africa, I've been and have a lot of friends living there still. There is a large East Asian community (nearly all Chinese) that arrived post-apartheid and are around 400K. Chinese media is heavily censored and hard to access in comparison to Korean media, so it makes sense why K-Pop fills the void for the Chinese community who are surrounded by a lot of different ethnic and racial cultures with varying levels of xenophobia.

And It's an ignored continent for K-pop tours. Look at what they are missing

Hybe was smart for once???? The distribution of albums in Africa starts 2023. I hope this can give them a good market analysis of potential ticket purchasers. That African leg isn't so far of now Afriyieau1

Distribution already started this year for Proof. And UMG Africa was shocked it got sold out. People are still waiting for their albums to come . I bet they didn’t expect this kind of BTS demand

Also BTS is always charting on Spotify South Africa daily top artiste. Ghana doesn’t have charts yet so I can’t check and Nigerian armys have BTS on their daily top artiste too which is very impressive, considering that Nigeria has the biggest music industry in Africa and it’s the most populous country here too

Hopefully BTS will go there for the next world tour

also kenya being there... i found and discovered BTS when i was living in Kenya in 2017 (not anymore) so love to see that they've grown there even more since
