In my opinion NewJeans are pretty weak performers

What the hell I LOVED that IVE performance, it was the most 'live' performance they have ever done with a very low backtrack. You can hear every single word they sing (and the ones they don't sing) very clearly. I also loved NJs performance but it feels strange to compare these two specific performances since one is with low backtrack and one has a loud one (still clearly live vocals though). It allows focusing on the performance far more when it's less noticeable if you skip some lines during intense choreo. Personally I think NJs and IVE are about similar level when it comes to live stages, neither is really a "strong" performer. Both have lots of room to improve though and I think we are already seeing both of them improve in front of our eyes.

My main complaint with IVE is the sometimes 'lazy' dancing, even as a big fan I have to admit it sticks out even to me. Most recently during the MMA 2022 WY & Liz had some lazy dance moments that stuck out to me and that's not easy to admit as a Liz bias. Yujin and Leeseo are usually carrying the stage presence department. Interestingly Yujin is the only truly strong performer but somehow Liz becomes the strongest performer when they're doing live vocals since the others clearly have to focus quite lot on singing while it's Liz is doing it effortlessly and never skips a line.

I don't say anything about the live singing. It's what it is. Nj gives better energy, they make the award show alive and they got viral because of it. While Ive, yes I applause them to try singing live, yet it's worth it if they're very lacking on it? They're performers, and they supposed to be good at it, just like other people that work in other field. If doctor doing their job like this, nobody gonna back them up. If they're unable to do so, it's better to cover it up and improve in their practice. It just ruined their image in many eyes. At the same time, please improve their dancing skills too. You love it, it's okay because you're their fans afterall, but from non fans eyes, their performance there was not good at all. I don't remember Wonyoung or Yujin being this bad in Iz*one.

Based on the Ive stans responses here, you know how low the quality of the group if their stans praises a bare minimum efforts like they're so good at it, tbh.

To avoid any misunderstanding, I'm talking here as a non fans from both group and just judging them by their performance videos. I comment on what I see. Both group are lacking, but Ive is just on another level of disappoinment especially when Wonyoung and Yujin used to be in group with very strong and good performances.

It proved exactly what it was meant to, that they can dance just fine. You can hit the right moves and hit them well and still not have energy behind them to be engaging. That was the point. In that sense, yes, I agree, IVE is lacking when it comes to having energetic performances. Are they bad dancers though? No, I wouldn't agree. They dance well and have good expressions just very lacklustre.

they don't dance well, they underdance, they can't do isolations properly, they have bad lines. Everyone except Yujin and Gaeul. Literally what was that floor move supposed to be in After Like, it looked ridiculous. Or remember when nobody except for the two mentioned better dancers could do the hip pop and lock in Eleven correctly. They are just bad dancers. It's fine, we don't expect them to excel, but Ive stans need to be realistic about that.

I'm speechless, did you actually know what 'dance well' and ' dance just fine' mean? We know you love them and you're their stan, it's okay you like their performance and how they dance, but defending them over something too obvious like this with the most ridiculous statement just to fit in your narrative is just not it. You just make them look like they have very delusional fans that throw anything to proof that the girls are a good dancer when in reality, they're not.
