    seeing how his latest comeback flopped he doesnt have much strong hold in korea, he is known but still needs luck or boost to score hits. His work with Block B is pasttime, at the time boygroups were trend so making good catchy music was enough for charting. But nowadays its not. Unless there is some groundbreaking gp wont check out boygroups so having hitmaker producer wont guarantee anything at all. Only idols who can make music for boygroups and make them chart is GD & IU. Because their brand is strong there, I think people check out anything if their name attached to it.

    GD of course does for Bigbang, but has he done for others?


    IU songwriting for a boy group. It has been many years since she gave the debut hit to High4.

    But they have sunk without trace and NSLOCB is only remembered as an IU song, remains a regular spring season hit.

    Afak he hasnt done for bgs besides BigBang, but now I think anything his name attached gp will check out esp considering how people starved by his music since we only had Still Life in the past years. But well prolly he has no interest in making music for newer bgs so we prolly wont see that.


    Wow, I have never heard of High4 and IU has made their debut music and herself collabed on it, also wonder if she interested in making music for bgs or if there is a bg whose style aligns with hers, current kpop is more performance based, while IU's style is totally different its more chill and very vocal focused.


    as for Zico, I dont know if he himself make music for his bg. I actually predict he is going for self producing bg. Also, psy's new bg and rain's new bgs was disappointing so I am not putting much hope on zico's new bg.
