Twice 2016 era was the biggest GG era I witness ever since I joined kpop fandom.

Ive. A rookie with 2 of the biggest hits of the year beating every other gg including BP during those runs is nothing short of amazing.

Gidle arguably had a year as big as Ive this year, why are they never mentioned? Tomboy is still doing well and Nxde smashed. They tripled their sales.

I've promoted more heavily and were on TV and events all year. Plus they had 3 hits instead of just 2.

Yeah it’s bigger than the mention 3. I just wanted to ask about these last few years. Twices peak in sk should be in discussion with snsd and wonder girls imo

IVE definitely had a huge year, tbh I see it beating aespa last year though I’m not sure on bp. IVE hit songs like love dive and after like are bigger than how you like that and love sick girls. Heck eleven has major longevity. But I’m not sure on popularity of the actual group.

Lets be serious tea, I can imagine the only reason you didn't list Twice 2016 is because they would be obvious winners. Biggest song in South Korea and revitalised the Japanese market for kpop with TT

aespa had a VIRAL hit with next level in korea and Ive popped off in their first year & are still reigning, easily beating 3rd gen bgs and ggs

hylt/ic/lsg did well, but bp 2020 don't belong in the same viral category as the others you mentioned

better comparison wouldl be 2021 aespa, 2022 Ive and 2022 newjeans

stop talking about twice we could say the same thing for snsd, but op asked about these 3 in particular.

anyway it is obviously ive. 3 massive hits in sk including one with best longevity and other with the biggest peak (sk and global) all 3 songs also broke international records and they sold 1m sales with a single, first group to do so. (in fact lready crossed the 2m total sales mark, in less than a year) it's obviously them.

Tbh Twice peak was longer than WG but nowhere near SNSD who went on as the number 1 gg in Kpop for years form 2009 to about 2015. Twice emanwhile dominated only from 2016 to 2019. SNSD 15th anniversary did much better than Twice have for the last 3 years showing SNSD are clearly the more fondly remembered and liked the NGG.

aespa. People still understimate how people dance their song either in tv or public. Politic use it. They got lot of deals. Ive is big but i rarely see korean dance or sing and mention their songs. It migjt be wy who overshadow them. And lol people bring Twice 2016 year? SNSD 2009/2010/2011 ate all of the ggs that op mention.

SNSD were never dominant digitally outside of 2/3 years.

They even had a top 10 hit 15 years later.

Twice recently struggle to stay in top 50 or even 100.

bp, put them at indisputable top of ever gg, the only other time that happen is twice 2016 or snsd 2009
