Why love shot was so popular among idol groups?

Because at the end of the day a simple song with some iconic choreo and styling is all you need for a hit song. People want to imitate it because it looks really cool.
This has always been the case with EXO. Not just love shot another example of this is The Eve as well. And Kai’s mmmh. When a sexy concept suits a group and they look cool doing it the song will likely be something everyone will want to imitate.
