This makes YG's reluctance to make music even more clear. One of my theories about why BP dont release music is risk management. Their brand is already so valuable that it might not make sense from a cost/benefit standpoint to come out with new "products" so to speak. Any time a Kpop group releases something, there will always be risk attached to it.
They could get cancelled by the woke warriors.
They could do something embarrassing or humiliating while performing or promoting.
They could flop badly.
Blackpink has already experienced multiple attempts at sabotage by folks who want to see them fall (the nonsense Snowdrop scandal, statues, nurses outfit, braids, etc).
If you're already printing money doing nothing, why bother upsetting the apple cart by taking on all the risks associated with a comeback?
