Is it just me or are idols whiter /paler these days?

I have seen Koreans in Winter AND in Summer and it still does not make any sense. I don’t know why K-Pop fans are denying skin whitening that much. Yes, they use filters and yes, they use sunscreen and heavy makeup but I have literally seen more than 30 idols under normal light in both Winter and summer. Most of them were unnaturally pale and it was not during the pandemic.
