Why do fans want BTS to receive military exemption despite the fact that they are gonna take a break from the group's music anyway?

  • I have a feeling they aren't gonna release any music as a group for a while regardless of the military's decision for them. So why does it matter if BTS enlists or not?

Due to enlistment we may not be getting OT7 for some years but does it seem like we will be getting it either anytime soon either? No.

For the government and HYBE it might be a good decision but for us fans, the exemption wouldn't matter anyways. We might be getting some occasional Korea tourism focused concerts like the Busan one we are having soon but on the other hand you will get to see a more strict image of BTS than they ever had in their career.

    Approved the thread.
  • If they get exemption there's no way they won't be promoting as a group. There's a reason hybe is pushing for exemption. And there's no way members would refuse to have the privilege if they're offered.

  • they don't understand that BTS already made it clear they are enlisting

the whole break is to prepare armys for the news this december

  • BECAUSE THEY WANT TO RELEASE SOLO WORK

THERE'S MORE TO THEM THAN OT7 WORK

  • Not an army but I stan a group who've finished their military service and there's a big difference between not releasing any group music and completely disappearing for two years.

While the idol is in the militarily you'll barely see them. No music, no performances, no variety content, no interviews, no photoshoots, no social media interactions. Nothing. If they enlist separately the wait isn't too bad cus you'll get a lot of solo work but at the same time you'll have to wait even longer til they reunite.

    Military service absolutely sucks.

Promoting as a group when the members have already admitted they feel exhausted? Yeah I can totally see their shitty label and the government do this to milk out of BTS even more.

  • I question whether they really want them to receive exemption. We all know how HYBE has classically kept fans hooked. Do they really want to lose all the opportunities for tearful goodbyes, tearful reunions, speculating about injuries and sad eyed members in their bunk beds missing Army's s much, and not forgetting getting to research the likelihood of North Korea attacking and becoming twitter experts on combat?

I can't help noticing the way they rejoice every time BTS get forced into working after they explicitly said they were tired and needed time away.

  • WE don't want things, the enlistment issue has nothing to do with international fans.

The only thing we want is for this topic to be OVER, regardless of the decision. We want the media and Kpoppies to stop the discourse once and for all.

We want people to leave the boys alone and stop turning this into an excuse to bash them

The members have literally said nothing about this, NOTHING and people still can't keep them out of their mouths

  • Because they fucking deserve it. Simple as that.

  • for a break armys still seem to be getting lots of content so i dont think its the same OP

  • because the fandom wants bragging rights.

Yeah because if they're not active it wouldn't benefit SK at all so why would they exempt them?

    BTS: "we need a break"
    ARMY: "they aren't on a break! :pepe-firing: "
