Yg adopted the hiatus strategy for bp to build enthusiasm and hype for each release. But with born pink, we are seeing the limits of such a model. Not only is bp no where near bts numbers, but their sales in the US have been surpassed by other groups like twice and skz. And they have been easily surpassed in korea by 4th gen ggs.
So is the strategy worth it? Or would we see even worse numbers without it?
