not always but yes alot of the times.
for rv, rap isnt even needed bcuz their vocals can carry a song, an example being psycho.

I've been sitting on this thought for a little while..mostly in reference to SM not seeing the added value of effective rap bars in their catalog of songs. When the raps are written and performed right, it makes the song more iconic and super hype. Even very much so in the case of songs that borrow very heavily from Hip-Hop. For example, Lil' Kim's rap bars in Mary J. Blige's "I Can Love You" shoots the energy of the song through the roof compared to the version without it:
Mary J. Blige - I Can Love You (Without Rap)
Mary J. Blige - I Can Love You (With Rap)
i dislike how it sound sometimes ehh
I get what u mean it's not always great
Yeah I agree bcuz some groups their members were just not made for rapping, and a lot of the time it just doesn’t fit the concept that the group is doing
most of twice's raps nowadays ruin the song imo. if they wanna have raps then at least try to make the song suitable for it. it was okay back in eras like likey or what is love but the songs don't fit the raps at all anymore. i hope jyp understands that and at least tries to make subunits where chaeyoung, dahyun, and momo can get better chances at showing off their talent in terms of vocal and rap abilities.
Some ppl didn't like Momoland Bboom Bboom rap part, but I think it was cute:
I agree. I don’t like rapping of any kind and there’s some songs where there’s too much of it and ruins an otherwise good song imo.
